As cross-industry outside-the-box thinkers & doers we are a tight-knit team offering businesses hands-on consultancy and production services within experiential events, online and realspace content creation and innovative marketing strategy.
Our assets are fuelled by the core team of committed creatives and tech-heads.
Filtered’s other assets include a private farm-based venue with stage, dancefloor, and accommodation in Margaret River region, as well as our own workshop for manufacturing unique production equipment and sets. Filtered operates between our Carlisle workspace and Osborne Park office and warehouse, which also houses our niche collection of event decor, furniture and audio-visual equipment.
MARNIE MCKEE
Creative Director
As the stellar, leading light and creative director of Filtered Marnie comes from a long line of grafters. She ran businesses as a young person, travelled Aus for 10 years, owned a circus, studied psychology, education, film, events and experience design all by the age of 33. Originally an installation artist & dance performer, for two decades Marnie researched the body, camera and site as powerful tools for movement orchestrating perception.
Whilst presenting her findings throughout Aus & UK within academic conferences as Orr&Sweeney, Marnie continued working as a business development manager and creative producer across construction, food & bev, retail & arts organisations at the forefront of innovative practice.
Over time Marnie combined her creative research into Filtered's approach to experiential marketing with an emphasis on engaging audiences deeply, by activating places and brands. She still keeps her foot in the research door teaching dancers at WAAPA and actors at The Actor’s Hub.
ALEX MCKEE
Technical Director
A virtuosic DJ and music producer, Alex won Audio Technician of the Year within his lead audio position for the audio-visual partners at Crown Complex. Alex has been described by his peers as the “DJ’s DJ”, after playing for private parties including one for the RTRfm's presenters, Perth’s popular alternative radio station.
As co-owner of FIltered, technical director and DJ, Alex is the natural team leader and player. He works closely with clients and in managing his team to manifest incredible experiences that bring people together. Alex has been instrumental in the development and activation of the company's values, key strategies and ideas that have taken the company to the next level of operation.
Alex is a tech wizard and comes with years of research experience having worked as an analyst for London Police at Scotland Yard prior to moving to Australia with Marnie in 2005.
SOPHIE TERRASSIN
Production Manager
Having worked with international brands and local governments, Sophie brings to her onsite leadership and managerial roles decades of high level corporate experience within project management, human resources and administrative systems. Sophie is a formidable team member, fundamental in building collaborative working environments whilst maintaining team accountability with both time and systems. Her lighthearted approach whilst working at the speed of light is one-of-a-kind. She is also currently studying fine art and is a lover of history.

JEMMA GOODCHILD
Marketing Officer
In 2011 Jemma launched her digital marketing career from her journalism background after landing a significant role with Just Everything Group including where she raised the profile of online magazine Everything Mandurah to dizzying heights in the Peel Region.
Jemma's passion and enthusiasm for experiential service delivery is aided by strong investigative skills which she developed through her English Literature Major from Curtin University.
Jemma also trained in behavioural science at Notre Dame, receiving the top mark across her year for an unforgettable essay grounded in Derridean Structuralism on ethics. From websites, marketing plans, branding documents, content creation and statistical analysis Jemma brings to the table a broad skillset and years of digital marketing experience Jemma also is a gun at stakeholder relations and sales.
ANGELA MITCHELL
Illustration & Graphics
Angela Mitchell is a Perth-based graphic designer, artist and illustrator. Prior to establishing her independent studio she has previously worked as a designer for Becca Cosmetics, REB Design and was co-director of award winning design consultancy Studio Bomba and stationery brand Mitchell & Dent for 10 years. Small in size but big on experience, Angela enjoys collaborating with specialists in different disciplines to help create brands with meaningful connections to their audience. Angela has worked on a diverse range of projects for the likes of Sabrina Hahn, The Australian Ballet, Fringe World, Silvana Coffee, Bold Park Community School and Vasse Felix. She has a particular soft spot for branding and packaging design, and working with businesses who want to do good for their community.
